SENIOR FINANCE ANALYST - 40 HOURS (Internal Only) Pierce County Library System   Hiring Range: $42.72 - $49.54 per hour/year; Pay Grade Range: $42.72 - $59.14 per hour/year Compensation Pierce County Library System offers a compensation program which recognizes qualifications and experience relevant to each position. The starting pay is established typically within the hiring range below based upon the experience of the individual hired into the role. Our compensation package also includes annual increases for each additional year of experience and tenure in the role, up to the maximum (current year maximum outlined in pay grade range above). Conducts complex financial and budget analysis projects and supports  ClearGov management;  responsible for capital projects and capital contract spending; analyzes data and variances to recommend cost savings; performs budget transfers and reconciles general ledger accounts including reclassification entries; manages accounts receivable; leads ERP and optimization projects; evaluates ROI for programs and processes; and provides training and guidance to new or less experienced finance staff, as well as to internal departments on finance‑related processes. This position works under general supervision and is distinguished by the complex and analytical nature of duties assigned. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Essential Function Description % of Time Financial Analysis Performs budget, general ledger, capital project, ROI, and program analysis and support management; recommends cost savings and improvements. 50% Projects & Training Leads or supports ERP, optimization, and interdepartmental projects, including Cleargov Budget Book; provides staff training. 20% Capital Project Management Responsible for LCFA, capital projects, and capital contract spending including accounts payable, expenditure resolution, and SAO reporting. 10% Accounting Operations Performs reconciliations, budget transfers, reclass entries, check clearing, voids, manages accounts receivable, and processes travel packets. 10% Reporting & Compliance Files required state tax returns, supports grant documentation, and ensures regulatory compliance. 5% Customer/Internal Service Delivers high-quality, internal-focused financial services and communicates policies accurately. 5% ---------------------------------------- SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES Performs other duties as assigned; reports matters of public concern to management; reflects the Library’s mission, vision, and values in all interactions.
