This role offers an outstanding opportunity to work within a high-performing Finance Team in a dynamic environment of a complex US multinational business.
In this position, you will take charge of all finance operations for the Biologics Australia entity, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial results and outcomes. You should possess excellent communication and problem solving abilities to drive success in delivery of key targets.
For an experienced analyst who is organized, proactive, with a hands-on attitude, interested in finance, revenue, inventory, and material management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent experience in a Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or Finance field
  • CA/CPA Qualification

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  • Prior experience in FP&A and/or Controlling
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Excellent skills with MS Excel; Oracle, HFM/CMR, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven team-building skills and ability to work with a diverse, geographically dispersed group
  • Self-motivated with high flexibility and a strong work ethic
  • Continuous Improvement approach: Identify and champion improvement initiatives
  • Leadership, initiative, and adherence to Thermo Fisher Scientific’s 4-I values

Responsibilities
  • Lead and handle month end close activities, ensuring close is completed on time with delivery of accurate reporting.
  • Review monthly P&L impacts determining key factors driving variances to AOP and Forecast.
  • Actively partner with cost centre leads to deliver targeted financial outcomes.
  • Prepare annual operating plans and manage monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Provide analytical and financial ad hoc support to sites.
  • Drive reconciliation processes across various financial systems and ensure data governance within the site.
  • Implement continuous improvement and standardization of reporting and analytical processes to boost productivity and efficiency.
  • Support the CAPEX process, including formulating arguments for investment approval and reporting on project spend.
  • Manage Statutory Audits and Tax Compliance (including BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Income Tax).
