Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Finance Associate to work closely with finance leadership and strengthen Karbon’s financial controls, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance. This is a hands-on controllership role with exposure to statutory compliances, audits, MIS, RBI reporting support, and leadership-level financial reporting. The role is ideal for a qualified CA (0–2 years PQE) who wants to build a strong foundation in financial control, compliance, and stakeholder reporting, rather than being limited to transactional accounting. Where You Can Create ImpactAccounting Oversight & Monthly Closures Review monthly books prepared by the accounting team. Perform balance sheet and P&L variance analysis. Ensure timely month-end closures with high data accuracy. Monitor maker–checker controls and system audit trails. Taxation – Direct & Indirect (Review & Coordination) Review monthly GST workings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, ITC reconciliations). Review monthly TDS computations, challans, and returns. Coordinate with external tax consultants for: Income tax returns Tax audits Transfer pricing documentation Track tax notices, assessments, and statutory timelines. MIS & Leadership Reporting Prepare and review monthly MIS packs for leadership. Track GTV figures and explain month-on-month variances. Support preparation of management decks and financial summaries. Ensure consistency between MIS and books of accounts. Support product-level P&L preparation. Partner with product leaders to validate financial assumptions and track profitability trends. Audit & Regulatory Support Support statutory, tax, and GST audits end-to-end. Prepare audit schedules, reconciliations, and explanations. Review RBI reporting workings (DNBS-02, DNBS-10). Track audit observations and ensure timely closure. Requirements for the RoleMust-have Skills Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – ICAI. 0–2 years of post-qualification experience. Strong conceptual understanding of: Accounting standards GST and TDS Financial statements and internal controls Hands-on experience with Zoho Books or similar accounting systems. Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel (lookups, pivots, reconciliations). High attention to detail, ownership, and execution discipline. Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities. Good-to-have Skills Exposure to startups, fintech, NBFCs, or regulated environments. Prior experience in audit, tax, or controllership roles. Experience preparing Excel-based MIS and reconciliations. Familiarity with Tally and multi-system data reconciliation.
