Hutcheon Mearns are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a large global business in Dundee for a permanent Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with strong commercial acumen to make a real impact to the business by playing the lead finance role in Dundee; supporting decision-making and acting as the point of contact between the off-site finance team and on-site budget holders. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in the office in Dundee.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor actual expenditure against budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities, potential overspends & areas requiring additional investment
  • Collaborate heavily with all finance teams & local budget holders to ensure accurate accounting of associated costs with an ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Provide clear financial justifications for all new initiatives within the Dundee site to ensure complete cost transparency
  • Ensure the Dundee site has sufficient budget allocation at the start of each financial year to support operations and deliver planned changes
  • Build and maintain stakeholder understanding of the Dundee site’s role and value to the business, supporting informed financial decision-making throughout the year
  • Contribute to the development & execution of the Dundee site’s strategy and operational plans
  • Ensure full compliance with all corporate & legal processes, meeting required deadline
