Description

White Horse are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly respected leader in the goods industry as they look to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner to support their operations across the Southwest. This is a commercially focused finance role with high visibility, offering the chance to partner closely with regional and site-level leadership teams across multiple locations.
Reporting into the Head of Finance for the division, this role will play a critical part in shaping regional performance through hands-on financial analysis, strategic insight, and decision support. It’s a fantastic opportunity for a qualified finance professional who enjoys variety, autonomy, and influencing outcomes in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the key Finance Business Partner to internal stakeholders, providing commercial support, challenge, and insight.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis and reporting, including monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, variance analysis, KPIs, and ad hoc performance reviews.
  • Lead the preparation of monthly review packs and participate in review meetings, driving accountability and performance improvement.
  • Provide detailed analysis on margin management, distribution costs, consignment reconciliation, and benchmarking across sites.
  • Ensure accurate accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Monitor the performance and profitability of new business.
  • Maintain and strengthen financial controls, ensuring compliance with SOX frameworks and statutory requirements.
  • Support audit processes and uphold clear documentation aligned with the company’s internal controls.
  • Contribute to strategic projects and financial planning initiatives led by the Head of Finance.

About You:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA preferred), with strong experience in management accounting and financial analysis.
  • Experience in goods or FMCG industries, ideally across multi-site operations.
  • Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage your own time and travel across the region.
  • Strong Excel skills and a hands-on approach to continuous improvement and process optimisation.
  • Comfortable being the sole finance lead across the region, with a sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Experience with stock takes, cost reporting, and working within robust control frameworks is advantageous.

This is a fantastic time to join a well-established and growing business where your work will directly influence performance and strategic direction. If you’re looking for a role that combines commercial finance, stakeholder engagement, and regional autonomy – this could be the perfect next step. The role will be home based but with regular travel to sites.
