The Commercial Planning team sits within the Finance function and is primarily responsible for the forecast, analysis and management of the Group’s financial performance. The team works closely with all the Lines of Businesses to understand underlying business performance and how this translates into our financial results. The team is also responsible for the production of timely and accurate financial data & information that is used by senior management and the Board of Directors. You Responsibilities: The Senior Finance Manager plays an integral role in supporting the Commercial Planning team to deliver EOM, management reporting and financial analysis Business partnering to assist with the analysis of individual business results through the budget, forecast and month end process including preparation of high quality presentations, insights and supporting material Evaluating performance key business drivers for business units and assistance with ad-hoc queries relating to same Proactive involvement with the preparation of annual budgets/5 year plan, rolling forecasts, half-year and year-end cycles Undertake and oversee actions to support business decision-making including complex analysis to inform financial capability, operating performance and business growth opportunities Assist in analyses related to opex and capex projects e.g. new projects or review of existing agreements etc Develop and maintain strong, productive partnerships with other relevant business units, functional areas and key staff Actively contribute to process improvement/simplification, ongoing maintenance and review of all aspects of financial reporting, financial models and templates and processes Be involved in the upcoming ERP (Workday) upgrade project Must Have Skills: Tertiary qualifications in an Accounting discipline and CPA / CA qualifications Experience in finance business partnering role, management accounting and preparation of financial reports is a must Exposure to project finance would be highly regarded Exposure to a technology function cost base and/or financial services industry would be highly beneficial Ability to provide business insights, understand drivers and being able to ‘tell the story’ commercially is essential Strong project management and analytical skills Advanced excel skills Strong and effective communication & interpersonal skills are a given Initiative to get involved and understand the broader business Attention to detail and ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines We make hiring decisions based on your skills, capabilities and experience, and how you’ll help us to live our values.
