Senior Finance Manager (Part-Time, Remote)
Contract: Fixed Term – 6 months
Schedule: 3 days per week (Tuesday, Thursday + one other day at the employees choice)
Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)
About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Finance Manager to join emc3 on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for a qualified finance professional who thrives on autonomy, enjoys delivering accurate and timely reporting, and is motivated to provide financial clarity to support strategic decision-making and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process, including reviews, reconciliations, and adjustments
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts with clear analysis
  • Manage payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate staff payments
  • Oversee and authorise supplier payment runs, ensuring compliance with controls
  • Review and submit VAT returns in line with HMRC requirements
  • Administer, review, and track team expense pots
  • Support ad hoc finance tasks such as intercompany invoicing, analysis spreadsheets, and wider finance projects

About You

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA (or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end finance operations, ideally in a dynamic SME or agency environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, and payroll

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel
  • Confident communicator with the ability to challenge and advise stakeholders
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
