• A well-established and growing Irish business is entering an exciting phase of development and is looking to appoint a Senior Finance Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day finance function.With a strong market position and a reputation built over several decades, the business is focused on its next stage of growth, with particular emphasis on strengthening financial controls, improving cash management, and driving operational excellence.This is a hands-on, high-impact role for an experienced finance professional who enjoys being close to the numbers, taking ownership, and working collaboratively across the wider business.The RoleReporting to the senior leadership team, the Senior Finance Manager will have responsibility for the effective running of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control and providing clear, commercially focused insight to support decision-making.The successful candidate will be comfortable operating at both a strategic and detailed level, with the initiative to identify opportunities to improve processes, manage working capital and contribute to the ongoing development of the business.Key Responsibilities:Take full ownership of the finance function and deliver accurate, timely monthly management accounts.
• Manage cash flow, including forecasting, working capital and liquidity planning.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, providing clear and practical financial insight.
• Strengthen financial processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to scale.
• Partner with operational teams to understand performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reconciliations.
• Ensure compliance with Irish financial reporting, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Experience: A professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Strong experience at Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager or equivalent level.
• Proven experience managing a finance function end-to-end within an SME or growing business.
• Strong expertise in cash management, financial control and operational finance.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate, timely financial information.
• A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to roll up your sleeves and get involved.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work effectively with non-finance colleagues.
• The flexibility and resilience to operate successfully in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
