He/she/they will also partner with Google Food Program Managers in the Americas as well as other Compass Sectors in the Americas (Restaurant Associates, Canteen Google US, and Global Compass @ Google team) to oversee financial practices and to support financial operational excellence. This position reports into the Director of Finance, Americas and will leverage their strong financial and accounting skills to partner with key stakeholders (culinary, hospitality, concept development, procurement, risk management, operations and HR), to promote financial best practices in line with Compass standards and Google Food expectations.   Responsibilities   Develop relationships with local operating sector accounting teams to create a strong financial Compass @Google Americas regional team that can meet our partners financial goals while managing the food program.  Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes. Quarterly forecast support for all units for the client Build and maintain annual internal and client budgets Maintains and reinforces all accounting policies and standards consistentlyacross the account Prepare reporting for the client forecast versus actual monthly reconciliation. Prepare reporting for the client Committed Spend monthly meeting based on month-to-date data. Prepare monthly forecast/committed spend/actual expense for client input into their accounting systems. Oversee preparation of Monthly financial summary reports to unit management and leadership groups Support the tracking and analysis of Operational Excellence Metrics Track weekly, monthly and quarterly KPI’s for client Annual and on-going budget support (training, questions) for managers and chefs and review budgets by location with Leadership Assist with proformas for new cafés/programs Provide support for client vendor payment systems Ensure invoice process has proper checks and balances Review weekly audits of orders vs invoices to ensure correct vendor payment Work with vendor relations to ensure purchase orders are funded properly Internal Controls: Implement and maintain a robust system of internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure financial data integrity. Conduct regular reviews of internal control procedures, flagging risks to appropriate parties, and recommending improvements for continued effectiveness. Ensure that close deadlines are met weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.   Present information for Quarter Business Discussions (aka quarter reports) and annual strategic review projects as needed Other financial projects as needed   Minimum Qualifications: Written and verbal proficiency in English and Spanish a plus 4-year college degree in Business/Accounting and/or 7 years of experience as a multi-unit controller MBA preferred Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred Strong partnership skills Ability to influence in a matrixed organization Able to dynamically and creatively problem solve Adept at managing multiple client and internal requests and deadlines Able to shift priorities for self and team on short notice Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and PowerPoint Proficient in Google Docs products including Sheets, Docs, Slides and GMail  Apply to Restaurant Associates today!
