YOUR MISSION

As Lakestar’s next (Senior) Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial insights that drive our firm’s decision-making processes. This role is focused on the valuation of Lakestar’s portfolio companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic relevance as well as supporting Lakestar in quarterly reporting process and annual financial accounts as well as creation of ad-hoc reports for the management.

You will partner closely with the CFO, the investment team the finance team to provide detailed analyses that inform our portfolio strategies and support our goal of delivering exceptional returns.

• Quarterly portfolio valuation process, ensuring compliance with IFRS and IPEV guidelines, while refining methodologies for accuracy and consistency.
• Provide actionable insights by analyzing financial and operational KPIs, supporting portfolio performance evaluation and strategic decision-making.
• Implement and optimize tools and processes to streamline valuation workflows, driving efficiency and fostering collaboration across teams.
• Monitor and evaluate portfolio performance against investment theses and financial models, identifying trends and insights.
• Collaborate with external advisors and act as the key contact for valuation-related inquiries and reviews.
• Supporting quarterly reporting process and annual financial accounts as well as creation of ad-hoc reports for investors.
• Preparing valuation-related materials, fund models, and presentations.

YOUR PROFILE

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in valuations, financial analysis, and venture capital or private equity. The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Min. 5 years of relevant experience, ideally within the valuation / transaction services department of a dynamic, high-paced firm with a focus on VC/PE portfolios or within the valuation/finance function of a Venture Capital firm or similar environment.
• Advanced financial modelling skills and a proven ability to create, analyse, and simplify complex models.
• Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and other analytical tools.
• Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (German is a plus).
• A self-starter mindset, capable of managing multiple priorities and delivering against tight deadlines.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with a process-driven approach to tasks.
• A results-oriented attitude, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, precise work.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and external stakeholders.
