Shapiro is a growing, fast-paced property management office located in Farmington Hills, MI seeking a Senior Financial Manager with a proven track record of acquiring, developing, and managing high-quality assets. This candidate will be hired to oversee the financial analysis, underwriting, and acquisition processes for our growing real estate portfolio.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Financial Manager will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of real estate acquisitions, including deal evaluation, underwriting, due diligence, and transaction execution. This leadership role will partner closely with executives, clients, and operational teams to drive strategic investment decisions and ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
5+ years of progressive experience in real estate acquisitions, underwriting, or investment management, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
Proven expertise in real estate financial modeling, valuation, and market analysis.
Strong knowledge of acquisition deal structures, capital markets, and transaction processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis software.
Exceptional communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Lead the financial evaluation and underwriting of potential property acquisitions, creating and reviewing detailed financial models.
Oversee due diligence processes, including analysis of financial statements, rent rolls, and operational data.
Manage and guide junior analysts in preparing investment analyses and market studies.
Collaborate with senior leadership to develop acquisition strategies and evaluate market opportunities.
Negotiate deal terms with brokers, sellers, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and present investment recommendations to executive management and investment committees.
Monitor post-acquisition performance to ensure return objectives are achieved.
