THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

As part of our B2C Strategy we want to focus on: differentiating through quality, expanding into further lifestyle propositions, and making fashion discovery more inspiring and entertaining. Outlets & Overstock is one such important proposition that enables us to increase our customers’ wallet for fashion & lifestyle and grow profitability through effective inventory and overstock management for Zalando B2C and complementing our digital channels by serving customers offline through our growing stores fleet. As we want to shape the adoption of our Outlets proposition, we are looking for a Finance Business partner (all genders) who will support the dedicated Outlets & Overstock propositions and the General Manager.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

  • Responsible for co-piloting with Outlets Leadership to deliver best-in-class finance support on building strategic plans & delivering profitable growth across our stores fleet.
  • Responsible for co-piloting with Overstock Leadership to deliver best-in-class finance support on building strategic plans & efficiently steering the B2B Overstock business.
  • Driving finance support on strategic initiatives to leadership & drive critical thinking on high impact topics e.g. business cases for new store locations.
  • Focus on managing and simplifying operational complexity given legal entity setup and offline channel focus; including collaborating with multiple stakeholders for creating forecasts, producing reports and preparing analyses to support decision-making.
  • Improving the reporting landscape and ensuring they are fit-for-purpose for Outlets & Overstock while increasing automation of key reports and tasks.
  • Challenging commercial metrics, developing hypotheses on how to improve performance, and translating these hypotheses into actionable, data-based insights and recommendations.
