About the Role We’re recruiting a Senior Manager Commercial Finance – Projects & Marketing to join our Domestic Commercial Finance leadership team at Saputo Dairy Australia. This is a senior commercial partnering role, working closely with the General Manager of Marketing & Foodservice, with accountability for strengthening the commercial evaluation and governance of major initiatives across the domestic consumer business. You will lead the financial evaluation of new product development and marketing initiatives, support Brand Planning and Portfolio Review processes and provide rigorous analysis and recommendations for major commercial contracts. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance – Domestic, you will lead and coach Project Finance Leads/Analysts, ensuring consistent evaluation frameworks, strong cross‑functional collaboration, and high‑quality end‑to‑end assessments that enable confident decision‑making at senior forums. This is not a delivery or project management role — it’s a role for a leader who thrives in ambiguity, applies strong commercial judgement, and influences outcomes through insight, challenge and structured evaluation. Key Responsibilities Lead the financial evaluation and governance of major initiatives, ensuring clear commercial insights, scenarios, and recommendations support senior decision‑making. Oversee product and project build evaluations across categories, ensuring robust, consistent modelling frameworks and transparent methodologies are applied end‑to‑end. Partner with Marketing, Category and Commercial teams through Brand Planning and Portfolio Review processes, embedding risks, opportunities and financial insights into strategic decisions. Lead the review, analysis and recommendation of major commercial contracts and agreements, applying strong financial rigour aligned to business strategy. Lead, coach and uplift capability across Project Finance Leads/Analysts, driving consistency of approach, continuous improvement, and strong cross‑functional partnering. About You Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in commercial finance, financial evaluation or business partnering roles within FMCG or similarly complex environments. CA / CPA qualified; project management qualification desirable but not essential. Strong financial and economic modelling capability, with the ability to translate complex analysis into clear, actionable recommendations. Demonstrated experience leading financial assessments for large‑scale initiatives, contracts, or portfolio decisions and influencing senior stakeholders. Confident operating in ambiguity and applying commercial judgement to challenge assumptions and improve decision quality. Proven people leadership capability, including coaching and uplifting consistency and quality across a team.
