THE ROLE

Are you a seasoned finance professional looking to make a real impact? We’re on the lookout for a dynamic and motivated Senior Finance Manager to lead our financial control team! Forming part of the Finance leadership team and collaborating closely with our FP&A, Procurement and Treasury teams, you’ll lead our well-established team with confidence and autonomy.
In this pivotal role, you’ll ensure the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations, key financial control activities and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the finance function. This role would suite you if you have an extensive background in financial control, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for optimising processes to deliver greater value

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Delivery of accurate month end reporting, including presentation of key metrics to the Finance Director prior to monthly close.
  • Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the numbers are accurate and adequate support is provided in a timely manner.
  • Delivery of accurate and timely statutory financial statements, adhering to Australian Accounting Standards, AFSL and APRA reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and present financial information to the Audit and Risk Committee, addressing any concerns related to financial performance, compliance, and risk management.
  • Delivery of accurate tax lodgements for Income Tax, FBT and GST.
  • Establish and maintain effective internal control systems to mitigate financial risks.
  • Identify potential risks and present risk management strategies to the Audit and Risk Committee for approval.
  • Manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors and allocations of customer payments, while implementing and maintaining robust controls and procedures.
  • Lead the external audit, liaising with the external auditor to provide accurate and relevant financial data.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and risk management practices are in place.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
