About the Role Rare Carat is looking for an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our growing finance team. This role requires deep expertise in US GAAP, a strong audit background, and hands-on experience managing the month-end close process. The ideal candidate will lead and develop a team of approximately 10 finance professionals while ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial reporting. This role will work closely with the US-based Controller and play a key role in strengthening financial processes as the company continues to scale. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Month-End Close Own and drive the full month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion in accordance with US GAAP Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules Monitor the general ledger, P&L, and balance sheet for accuracy and completeness Manage cash flow reporting and daily bookkeeping activities Financial Reporting & Compliance Lead and coordinate external audit activities, serving as the primary point of contact for audit requests Maintain and strengthen internal controls across financial processes Support tax filings, regulatory submissions, and liaise with tax authorities as needed Handle financial reconciliations and resolution of vendor/stakeholder disputes Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Manage, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals Set clear priorities, delegate effectively, and maintain high standards of execution Partner closely with the US Controller on reporting timelines, policies, and strategic initiatives Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and logistics teams on financial processes and reporting Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and accuracy Systems & Technology Serve as a power user and internal champion for NetSuite ERP (NetSuite experience is required) Ensure data integrity within NetSuite across accounting functions Leverage Excel, Google Workspace, and other tools to produce analysis and reporting Requirements 5–7 years of progressive accounting/finance experience Minimum 2 years of team leadership experience Strong and demonstrable knowledge of US GAAP Hands-on experience with financial statement audits Proven track record managing full-cycle month-end close NetSuite ERP experience is required CA, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification Excellent written and verbal communication in English Experience working across time zones with US-based leadership High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights Startup or high-growth company experience is a strong plus Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines Important Notice – Recruitment Fraud Alert Rare Carat only posts job openings on our official Careers page and our verified LinkedIn page.
