DESCRIPTION

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Finance Manager to join our Luxembourg-based captive management team. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to growth in an international risk and insurance environment as part of WTW.

THE REQUIREMENTS

  • Hold a diploma in accounting and/or finance (BA, Master, Business School) or a professional Accounting Qualification (ACCA, etc.);
  • At least 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in captive management or consulting in Luxembourg, with good knowledge of Lux GAAP and IFRS accounting standards and the Solvency II regime;
  • Able to manage a company from A to Z on a day-to-day basis;
  • Strong proficiency in standard MS tools and accounting software;
  • Fluency in French (speaking and writing), and English language to a Professional level;
  • You are organised, a team player, able to work to tight deadlines and possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the Accounting Department, with 3 local accountants and 2 junior support accountants;
  • Responsible for managing a growing portfolio of reinsurance captive companies;
  • Responsible for ensuring that client companies under management comply with the Luxembourg Commissariat aux Assurances’ regulations and reporting requirements, together with the Solvency II legislation/guidelines and the Luxembourg Companies Act;
  • Review and/or preparation of Management Accounts, and any other ad hoc reports and budgets, forecasts, etc. in a format prescribed by our clients;
  • Preparation of client companies’ year-end financial statements and liaising with external auditors;
  • Preparation of tax declaration;
  • Preparation and presentation of financial statements to the Board of Directors;
  • Liaise with any third-party company such as (re)insurers, auditors, banks, etc.
