Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Senior Finance Officer, Funding Arrangements, you will lead the financial administration of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and other funding programs that support local, regional, and state-level recovery initiatives. Your expertise will drive compliant payment and reporting systems, strengthen governance controls, and enhance stakeholder engagement across agencies and local governments. You will also contribute to impact assurance assessments, reporting, and continuous process improvement playing a vital role in enabling transparent, effective, and equitable outcomes from disaster recovery efforts.

You will be a detail oriented and strategic finance professional who thrives in complex, high-stakes environments. To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience managing funding allocations and financial systems in sensitive, multifaceted government or similar settings.
  • Strong technical knowledge of government reporting, accounting interpretations, and financial analysis—experience in audit or public sector settings is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial matters clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • A collaborative mindset, with proven ability to work with diverse teams and external stakeholders
