SENIOR FINANCE OFFICER

Location: Hybrid (2 days in-office: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3 days remote)
Salary: £32,000 – £37,330
Contract: Full-time, 37 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for the day-to-day financial administration, including nominal and purchase ledger management, payroll processing, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, and support of procurement functions. You will also play a vital role in developing and enhancing financial systems and reporting through the use of Excel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process monthly accruals, prepayments, and reconcile nominal ledger accounts.
• Manage weekly Bacs payments, staff expenses, and capital expenditure analysis.
• Lead monthly payroll processing, including RTI submissions and year-end returns.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed assets and component ledgers.
• Oversee bank administration, reconcile accounts, and prepare cash flow forecasts.
• Support procurement and contract management, including reporting on contract performance.
• Supervise and provide guidance to junior finance staff.
