We’re seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Finance Regulatory Specialist to lead the development of regulatory revenue proposals and provide expert advice on economic regulatory matters.
We’re seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Finance Regulatory Specialist to lead the development of regulatory revenue proposals and provide expert advice on economic regulatory matters. This is a high-impact role where you’ll collaborate across the business and represent Essential Energy in external forums, driving outcomes that align with our strategy, vision, and purpose.
This role has a preferred location of Port Macquarie, however, anywhere within operational footprint will also be considered.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
  • Proven experience in regulatory roles within the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electricity distribution regulation and policy.
  • Proficiency in economic modelling and analysis.Excellent stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.

  • Develop compelling regulatory proposals for the AER and IPART.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality submissions.
  • Provide strategic support for regulatory reset strategies and benchmarking.
  • Identify and model opportunities to respond to regulatory incentives.
  • Conduct economic modelling and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Advise on regulatory and legislative changes impacting the business.
  • Represent Essential Energy at industry forums and workshops.Foster a business-as-usual approach to maintaining regulatory documentation.
