Job Summary We are looking for an empowered and detail-oriented Senior Finance Specialist to join our diverse, flexible, and dynamic team. Reporting directly to the Finance Controller, this role is responsible for managing a wide range of financial activities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance, and providing meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making. Location: Baar, ZG, Switzerland Reports to: Finance Controller Employment Type: Full-time Key Responsibilities Reporting & Financial Analysis · Collaborate with finance team members during monthly closings and prepare management and business reporting packages · Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and detailed variance analysis · Compile, maintain, and analyze financial master data and reports to track performance against targets Operating Expense (OPEX) Control · Review and approve employee expense claims, ensuring completeness, policy compliance, and accurate accounting · Support local departments with corporate payment processing and coordinate with the Shared Service Center (SSC) for journal entries · Monitor OPEX versus budget and proactively flag significant variances to management Dealer Rebate Controlling · Review commercial and rebate policies and oversee their execution in cooperation with the Sales department · Validate dealer rebate claims and process payouts in line with internal guidelines · Execute instructions from central finance and ensure accurate financial recording Tax & Compliance Support · Prepare required financial data from SAP and related systems for VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory reporting · Support internal and external audits by providing SAP reports, reconciliations, aging analyses, exception details, and supporting documentation · Maintain communication with tax advisors and implement required corrections or adjustments following audits Continuous Improvement · Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and finance-related projects · Contribute to the ongoing improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting quality Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field · Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, controlling, or a similar finance role · Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint · Solid SAP knowledge, particularly in General Ledger and FI/CO modules · Experience supporting audits or compliance processes is an advantage · Basic understanding of Swiss tax and regulatory requirements · Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle external pressure · Customer- and results-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail · Fluent in English, both written and spoken What We Offer A dynamic and innovative work environment at BYD Switzerland, a leader in sustainable technology.
