Role Summary The Senior Finance Specialist will be responsible for managing financial operations, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning for PalmPay Burkina Faso. This role requires a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and provide insights that support business growth and decision-making. Key Responsibilities 1. Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports Analyze financial performance and provide actionable insights to management Monitor key financial metrics, variances, and trends 2. Budgeting & Financial Planning Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts Track actual performance against budgets and provide variance analysis Support strategic planning with financial modeling and scenario analysis 3. Accounting & Financial Controls Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including reconciliations and ledger management Ensure proper financial controls and adherence to company policies Maintain accurate financial records in line with accounting standards 4. Compliance & Regulatory Reporting Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory requirements, and financial regulations in Burkina Faso Prepare and submit required financial and tax filings Support internal and external audits 5. Cash Flow & Treasury Management Monitor cash flow and ensure effective liquidity management Oversee banking relationships and payment processes Optimize working capital and manage financial risks 6. Cost Management & Efficiency Track and control operational costs to ensure efficiency Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive financial discipline Support procurement and vendor payment processes 7. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Sales, and HR teams to support business initiatives Provide financial insights to guide decision-making across departments Support expansion projects and new market initiatives Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field 5–8 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting roles Experience in fintech, banking, or a fast-paced environment is an advantage Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN, CFA) is highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems Key Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and financial modeling skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong understanding of financial controls and compliance Problem-solving and decision-making ability Effective communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment What Success Looks Like in This Role Accurate and timely financial reporting Strong financial controls and full regulatory compliance Effective budget management and cost optimization Clear financial insights supporting business decisions Efficient cash flow and treasury management Why Join PalmPay?
