About the job


A newly created role for a Senior Accountant/Finance Manager to join a successful ASX listed business with long tenure in the business

Reporting directly to an approachable Financial Controller, you will join the team and play a key role across the broader financial accounting function.

The position offers a genuine mix of financial accounting, reporting, tax and commercial exposure.

  • Responsibilities include:Managing month-end and year-end financial accounting processes
  • Preparing management reports and financial analysis
  • Completing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting
  • Assisting with Australian tax compliance and reporting obligations
  • Supporting external tax advisors and tax lodgements
  • Assisting with listed-company reporting requirements
  • Supporting finance projects and process improvement initiatives
  • Identifying opportunities to improve systems, controls and processes
  • Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business
  • Providing support to the Financial Controller on various projects and analysis


There is an element of tax compliance, however this isn't a dedicated tax position. The role will suit someone who enjoys a broad financial accounting remit with exposure across tax and other areas of finance.

About You

  • You will be an experienced Senior Accountant\ Finance Manager who enjoys taking ownership and working across a varied remit.Ideally, you will have:CA/CPA qualification or be working towards completion
  • Strong financial accounting and month-end experience
  • Experience with management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Exposure to budgeting and forecasting
  • Experience with Australian tax compliance
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to get involved
  • An interest in process improvement and finance transformation
  • Experience in construction or other project-based environment would be advantageous.
