The Financial Accountant will play a key role in the financial operations of St. Michael’s House, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with statutory requirements, and support for strategic financial planning. The role involves collaboration across departments and with external stakeholders, including auditors and regulatory bodies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including management accounts, activity reports, and performance metrics.
  • Support the preparation of annual financial statements and liaise with external auditors.
  • Manage cash flow forecasting, Manage Banking and treasury functions.
  • Review and enhance internal financial controls and procedures.
  • Collaborate with ICT on finance system upgrades and implementations.
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring.
  • Contribute to risk management and quality assurance frameworks.
