The Role We’re seeking a Senior Financial Accountant, Group Finance to join our team in Melbourne on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you’ll be responsible for statutory and external reporting while ensuring the integrity of financial information, adherence to all accounting policies and standards. You’ll establish control over financial reports including the planning, co-ordination and review of statutory and specified legal entity external reporting requirements for the SMEC and the SJ Group Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:- Preparing and reviewing the statutory and other external reports for various entities in the SMEC and SJ group; Facilitating the preparation of detailed, complex account reconciliations to ensure integrity of key salary and employee-related account balances; Providing input and support into, including but not limited to, any process improvement initiatives, one-off finance projects and integration activities across the SJ Group; Building and maintaining effective relationships internally and externally to contribute to effective financial management.
