This well-known retail business has built a strong reputation in its market and has continued to grow significantly over recent years. The company offers a supportive and collaborative culture, as well as a clear pathway to progress into a Finance Manager role in the future.

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for a talented Senior Financial Accountant to join this high-performing finance team. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will be broad and hands-on, with responsibilities including:

• Month-end processing, including journals, accruals, reversals, balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reviews.
• Half-year and year-end reporting.
• Preparation of annual financial statements.
• Preparing and analysing financial and management reports, providing value-add insights to senior management.
• Assisting with annual budgets and monthly forecasts.
• Preparing year-end audit workpapers.
• Overseeing and reviewing work completed by Junior Accountants.
• Tax compliance, including BAS, payroll tax, FBT and income tax.
• Business partnering with the operations team.

To be successful in this role, you will be CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years’ experience. Ideally, you will have experience as a Senior Accountant, with some exposure to commercial accounting within a large or complex business, and be ready to take the next step in your career. You will be able to work autonomously, have a strong can-do attitude, be highly organised, have excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.
