About the OpportunityWe are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team based in Oakleigh South on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting month‑end processes, group reporting requirements, budgeting and forecasting, audit activities, and statutory reporting obligations across multiple business units. In this Role Coordinate and execute end-to-end month-end close processes across multiple business units including preparation and review of profit and loss (P&L) statements and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage month-end reporting packs for group reporting, supporting schedules, and financial analysis across multiple business locations. Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, including P&L, balance sheet and CAPEX. Manage lease accounting activities in accordance with AASB 16, including lease reviews, renewals and lease adjustments. Liaise with external auditors as the primary finance contact for interim, half-year, and year-end external audits. Prepare and review statutory reporting requirements, including BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax, and other compliance submissions. Undertake any ad-hoc duties as directed by management within the scope of your skills, training, and experience. What are we looking for? Degree-qualified in Accounting, Finance, or related field CA/CPA qualified Audit experience – Big 4 preferred Proven experience in a similar Senior Financial Accountant role Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
