The position sits within the Finance Operations team and will work closely with the Finance Manager and broader finance function to ensure the day-to-day accounting operations, reporting and compliance requirements are delivered accurately and on time.

About the role

This is a broad Senior Financial Accountant position covering BAU accounting, month-end, reconciliations, taxation, statutory reporting, financial systems and team support.

  • Coordinating key taxation obligations including GST, BAS, FBT and Payroll Tax
  • Contributing to the management of the Fixed Asset Register, depreciation, reconciliations and associated reporting requirements.

  • Playing a hands-on role in supporting financial operations associated with upcoming organisational activity, including accounts payable, venue payments, reimbursements and other high-volume transactions.
  • Working collaboratively across the Finance team and demonstrating the flexibility to step into new areas, pick things up quickly and take ownership when required.

About You

  • Strong experience in financial accounting, month-end, reconciliations and year-end reporting.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing or contributing to statutory financial statements and financial audits.

  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with stakeholders across different levels of an organisation.
