Are you a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant seeking an exciting opportunity with one of Australia’s fastest-growing premium retail brands? Look no further! We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the team to work closely with the Financial Controller and CFO. It is an exciting time to join the business in a growth phase within the luxury space. You have the liberty to make the role your own and be amongst a friendly and approachable team. They have recently moved to state of the art offices in the prestigious suburb of South Yarra equipped with large kitchen facilities as well as a private outdoor terrace. A hybrid work model is offered - after training you can work 1 day from home.
Responsibilities:
As the Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance of their operations. You will be responsible for:
- The accurate and timely completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- The preparation and performance commentary of all periodic management reporting (incl. daily / weekly / monthly reports/cycles).
- Daily cashflow reconciliation and distribution.
- Consolidation requirements and reconciliation of underlying records to final statutory reporting positions.
- Co-ordinating the external audit process together with other members team.
- Driving of internal finance-related process improvement and implementation projects.
- Tax compliance and reporting (ITR / BAS / PAYG, etc.), including assisting with the preparation of annual returns, monthly BAS submissions, and other regulatory requirements as required.
- Providing technical accounting support and analysis.
- Providing support to two junior staff members.
