The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance, with a proven track record of managing complex financial operations. This role is crucial to ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial accounting, reporting and strategic financial planning. Flexible and hybrid working arrangements are available for the right candidate.
What you’ll be doing
What we are looking forWe're seeking an experienced financial accounting professional with a minimum of five years' experience, ideally gained within the banking or financial services industry. However, candidates with substantial financial accounting experience from other sectors are also encouraged to apply.You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification and preferably be CPA or CA qualified (or have completed your certification).
The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, along with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in accounting systems (preferably TechnologyOne), exceptional attention to detail, and a high level of accuracy are essential. You will also have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
This role includes responsibility for one direct report, so we are seeking someone who is confident and comfortable in a people management capacity. The successful candidate will be able to effectively mentor, support, and develop their team member, fostering growth, performance, and engagement through clear guidance, regular feedback, and a collaborative approach.
