Responsibilities:
As an accounting professional, you will:
- Manage month-end close process, liaising with finance business partners
- Use system tools to action and finalise monthly & quarterly reconciliations
- Support the interim & year-end audit, being a point of contact for your BU’s
- Review and authorise journals and other work prepared by finance support staff
- Prepare ad hoc financial reports
- Provide input to the Finance department strategy, assisting the Financial Controller
- Foster a positive & effective working relationship with finance staff including offshore support
- Ensure adherence of QBE and regulatory risk and compliance requirements
- Other tasks to ensure the smooth running of QBE’s financial operations
