Responsibilities:

As an accounting professional, you will:

  • Manage month-end close process, liaising with finance business partners
  • Use system tools to action and finalise monthly & quarterly reconciliations
  • Support the interim & year-end audit, being a point of contact for your BU’s
  • Review and authorise journals and other work prepared by finance support staff
  • Prepare ad hoc financial reports
  • Provide input to the Finance department strategy, assisting the Financial Controller
  • Foster a positive & effective working relationship with finance staff including offshore support
  • Ensure adherence of QBE and regulatory risk and compliance requirements
  • Other tasks to ensure the smooth running of QBE’s financial operations
