Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the Saunders International team. The role will be based at Saunders International HQ in Rhodes, Sydney.
The Senior Financial Accountant position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Finance ERP system and ensuring full compliance with statutory financial reporting and taxation obligations. The role requires accurate and timely month-end close off.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and effective month end close off that meets the deadline as per the timetable.
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, including the monthly completion of balance sheet reconciliations for the group.
  • Assist with the half-yearly and year end statutory audit.
  • Completion and reviews of all general journals.
  • Preparation and review of statutory tax returns. Ensure all returns are lodged and paid within the deadline.
  • Ensure Australian Accounting Standards and policies are adhered to.
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions are reconciled monthly and agreed upon with business units.
  • Liaison with external parties including banks, auditors and ATO.
  • Drive continuous process improvement and system enhancement initiatives.
