The Sr. Financial Analyst provides decision support by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, as well as forecasting business trends to support the overall strategic and operating plans of Advance Auto Parts. These include Customer Acceleration/Transformation, Availability Excellence and Superior Experience by driving profitable growth through rigorous analysis and insight.
Job Description
CARQUEST Canada is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Sr. Financial Analyst for a full time (Hybrid role) at our Bolton Ontario head office. We are currently working 3 days in office and 2 days remote, subject to change in the future. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Analyst is responsible for providing management with accurate, timely reports and analytical support. The successful teammate will work in a fast-paced environment where he/she will support multiple projects while inter-acting with various disciplines of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate, timely periodic financial, sales and operating reports.
  • Partner with and provide detailed quantitative analysis, modeling, and guidance to finance, marketing, sales, operations and real estate management teams.
  • Analyze operating results against budget and performance metrics.
  • Assist in preparing financial forecast, annual corporate plan, and other ad-hoc financial requirements.
  • Leverage existing tools and data to identify business successes and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional math, and MS Office skills with proven ability to create and maintain complex Excel models.
  • Excellent communication skills, including ability to constructively articulate viewpoint.
  • Proven experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (BI preferred), as well as financial systems (i.e. Oracle).
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Effectively prioritize multiple demands; adjust to change quickly and work constructively under tight deadlines.
  • Is a self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment.
  • Has strong working knowledge of various areas of profit and loss, and balance sheet.

Work Experience:
5+ years related analyst experience; CPG/Distribution background preferred.
Education:
Minimum - University degree in Business (Finance or Accounting)
