CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year)
  • 3 to 5 years of Financial/Accounting experience
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business.
  • Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Bilingual (English/French) an asset.
  • Self-starter, efficient, organized and able to produce high quality work under pressure and in a timely fashion.
  • Strong analytical skills and attentive to details.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels.
  • Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality.

  • Demonstrate expertise in business analysis and financial modeling
Responsibilities
  • Manage in-year Canadian Divisional Capital risks and opportunities across all cross-functional areas through proactive and targeted redeployment of funds.
  • Collaborate with Strategy team to lead financial scope of annual strategic planning process (SPP) and ensure Capital allocation in alignment with company-wide initiatives.
  • Plan, forecast and manage total IT G&A expense budget including (but not limited to) IT labour, Maintenance Contracts & Google Cloud Costs.
  • Analyse, forecast and model Depreciation schedules for all cross-functional investments based on ‘Asset Type’ & ‘Useful Life’.
  • Liaise with US accounting to ensure Canadian alignment with revisions to company polices & processes.
  • Prepare financial analysis and forecasts for the use in the development of financial business decisions.
  • Create new and supplemental reporting methods to aid management in proactive problem solving.
  • Participate in budget preparations and analysis.
  • Maintain company records in accordance with general accounting principles.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of the reporting systems.
  • Provide analysis that add value to the business and allows for the making of strategically sound decisions.
  • In coordination with other departments conduct special financial and statistical studies.
