WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree preferably in accounting, as well as a professional accounting designation, CPA is an asset.
  • 3+ years’ experience in a public accounting role
  • Strong accounting knowledge and ability to research complex accounting issues in accordance with IFRS.
  • Intermediate to expert knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Experience in a Consumer-Packaged Goods manufacturing environment (ideally within Food and Beverage) is an asset.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting databases and ERP systems (MS Business Central)

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with all aspects of our business, with a focus on corporate reporting. This role is based out of our Kitchener- Waterloo Brewery Hybrid: 3 days in the office/ 2 days from home.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Lead monthly review of internal financials with the Finance team.
  • Completion of various month-end tasks including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and other ad hoc month-end tasks.
  • Review of budget variances and determine root cause(s) for management reporting.
  • Reporting financial results to Carlsberg Group (via HFM)
  • Preparation of Management presentation of monthly financial results and actively participate in discussions.
  • Providing written commentary to explain performance within these monthly management presentations.
  • Management of annual Budget Process & Deliverables
  • Leading OCM days (monthly cost management review)
  • Financial support to the People & Culture, IT, and Legal teams
  • Preparation of weekly Corporate Dashboards including high-level insights.
  • Preparation and review of monthly Capital Asset Reporting
  • Preparation of Stats Canada reporting
  • Payment approval and authorization.
  • Provide recommendations for process and workflow improvements as well as innovative and creative new ideas, including the development of analysis tools.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as required and other duties as assigned.
