Our Opportunity: Chewy seeks a highly motivated, analytical, and enthusiastic Senior Financial Analyst to join our industry-leading Customer Care organization! Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements, and using data to make and drive decisions. This candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Chewy's customer experience, and ensure financial objectives are achieved. What You'll Do: Perform modeling and analytics required to synthesize large sets of data and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting, analyses, and recommendations, and/or conclusions to leadership Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business, and help define key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, the Customer Care team, Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring books and records are accurately maintained in accordance with Chewy's policies and procedures Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Customer Care, Operations, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Finance Effectively manage numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment What You'll Need: BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Management, or Economics 3+ years relevant finance experience with a basic understanding of GAAP and a grasp of financial statements Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis Sophisticated Excel (i.e., Power-query, embedded SQL/Snowflake queries, sumif statements, etc.). Ability to think creatively, work independently and as part of a team to solve problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and adhere to deadlines Comfortable with ambiguity and changing priorities Strong written and oral communication skills Bonus: Hyperion Smartview, Python, and Oracle ERP, SQL coding skills Chewy is an equal opportunity employer.
