INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive knowledge of consumer product goods and financial modelling within a commercial finance environment

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or related field
  • 3+ years in CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) Industry
  • CPA or CFA is considered an asset

COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Exceptional financial modeling, Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Ability to establish sound assumptions using proper benchmarking and business logic
  • Critical thinking and ability to influence and steward conversation with facts
  • Comfortable speaking up in formal / informal meeting setting, and taking initiative where possible
  • Ability to convert complex financial metrics into easy-to-understand business logic for non-finance audience
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability ot manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience in beverage companies is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Build financial models for innovation products and strategic initiatives; think critically about model assumptions and can clearly communicate model results/insights to the Commercial team and other non-Finance Business Partners
  • Lead financial analysis for ad-hoc Commercial projects to support business growth; perform project lookback analysis to assess planned vs. actual profitability
  • Partner with other functional departments (i.e., RGM, Commercial) to understand and identify model inputs/assumptions
  • Prepare Powerpoint presentation on the project financial reviews with the Commercial team including Chief Commercial Officer
  • Publish key reports to Commercial team in a timely manner (i.e., Sampling, Profitability Calculator)
