EHN Canada is the country’s largest provider of private mental health and addiction services, with inpatient operations in most provinces and an in-person and virtual outpatient program. POSITION SUMMARY:

Reporting to the VP Finance, the Senior Financial Analyst – Compensation supports the Finance department in advanced reporting and analytics as it relates to compensation and headcount. This role will partner with finance team members and functional leaders to provide variance reporting and related recommendations around compensation and headcount budgets. This role is an integral part of the team in managing the P&L and collaborating with functional leaders.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Formulate various templates and financial reports utilizing NetSuite accounting system and ADP HRMS
  • Analyze variances from budget, forecast and prior period to provide commentary as it relates to salaries, benefits and headcount.
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues regarding the salaries and benefits monthly financial results and liaise with various finance team members and functional leaders as required.
  • Lead compensation related annual budgeting process.
  • Provide assistance to external and internal auditors as required.
  • Assist with special projects and other ad-hoc requests, as required.
  • Assist with month end payroll accruals and reconciliations.
  • Continuously develop and implement process improvements and other best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy of the payroll analysis function.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CPA/CA or in pursuit of designation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting from a recognized educational institution
  • 3-5 years of accounting related experience preferably at a large international accounting firm
  • Experience with ADP desired
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • A self‐starter with good interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build relationships within their team and across departments.
  • Fast learner, ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize in multi‐tasking environment demonstrating resilience, passion and commitment to deliver and be accountable for the results.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
