QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive financial analysis experience, including exposure to revenue processes, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong proficiency with ERP or financial systems (experience with multiple platforms considered an asset).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data.
  • Experience supporting contract, billing, or customer finance processes is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE

CoreKonnect is partnering with a leading organization to hire a Senior Financial Analyst who will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis. This position will provide critical support to senior management through insightful analysis, accurate reporting, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring the integrity of financial information and contributing to strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Reporting & Revenue Support: Oversee monthly and quarterly reporting cycles, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies. Support accurate revenue tracking and recognition processes.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning. Monitor performance against targets and provide actionable insights.
  • Profit & Loss Analysis: Conduct variance analysis on P&L accounts, highlighting trends and providing recommendations to leadership.
  • Contract & Order Review: Support the review and validation of financial data related to contracts, sales orders, and billing processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Accounts Receivable Oversight: Assist with the preparation of AR reports and provide commentary on outstanding balances and customer payment trends.
  • Risk & Compliance Support: Contribute to the assessment of doubtful accounts and ensure alignment with financial control policies.
  • Collaboration with Business Teams: Partner with cross-functional groups such as Sales, Operations, and Professional Services to support billing accuracy, financial controls, and business reporting needs.
  • Process & Documentation: Maintain organized records of agreements, financial schedules, and supporting documentation for audit and operational purposes.
