THE SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST - FP&A IN A FEW WORDS:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. This role requires advanced knowledge of financial systems and tools, including Power BI and SQL, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
As a Senior Financial Analyst – FP&A, you will play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of a fast-growing global company. Reporting to the FP&A Manager based in Montreal, you will transform complex data into clear insights, support strategic planning, and collaborate with business leaders to influence decision-making and drive performance.

Responsibilities
  • Budget Preparation and Management:
  • Prepare, plan, and support the entire budgeting process, including identifying optimizations and rationalizing budget needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive budget planning.
  • Financial Analysis, Reporting and Presentation:
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain financial results and trends, and provide detailed project-specific account analysis.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial reports, including internal reporting packages and presentations for senior management.
  • Develop and prepare quarterly presentations for the management and the Board of Directors, including detailed financial analysis with qualitative business insights.
  • Tool Development and Support:
  • Develop and support financial tools and systems, ensuring their integrity and effectiveness over time.
  • Be familiar with and capable of using Power BI and SQL for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects and Business Partnering:
  • Support various ad-hoc projects and requests from the finance team and senior management.
  • Act as a business partner to different departments, providing financial insights and support to achieve organizational goals.
