MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- You have 6+ years of experience in strategy and operations, product analytics, financial analysis, or management consulting with a proven track record of leading successful initiatives.
- You are a strategic thinker that can also dive deep into business problems and convey complex ideas to a wide range of audiences with clarity and structure.
- You are a self-starter with the ability to quickly respond to problems independently and proactively address conflicting stakeholder requirements to achieve creative compromise. You have a proven track record of designing and implementing process improvement projects and improving business metrics in resource-constrained environments.
- You think with data and are proficient with SQL and dashboarding/BI tools.
- You have a basic understanding of statistics and experimentation methodologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degrees in business and/or a quantitative discipline (e.g. economics, statistics) and background in marketplace or early stage companies are a plus.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our Strategic Finance org supporting Instacart Business. Instacart Business is a new way for businesses to shop on Instacart to give them more flexibility to get the last-minute– and often, unexpected– items they need to keep things running. Instacart Business tailors the customer experience specifically for business needs.
In this role, you will leverage data-driven insights to provide strategic guidance, identify new opportunities, and enhance decision-making within the Instacart Business team . Your work will directly impact our growth strategy and contribute to Instacart Business’s long-term vision of accelerating technology adoption across the entire food and beverage supply chain.
In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:
- Becoming an expert on current and future customers of Instacart Business, gaining a deep understanding of how we drive growth and solve user problems.
- Develop robust analyses around business performance, user behavior, and competitive environment to inform business decisions.
- Partner with and influence Instacart leadership (product, data science, design, sales / commercial teams and c-suite) to develop high-level strategy, formulate business plans, and evaluate resourcing and profitability trade-offs.
- Work on business problems that involve uncertainty, bringing structure, data, and sound judgment to propose a path forward.
- Facilitate strategic planning in collaboration with cross-functional partners, sizing new opportunities, prioritizing initiatives, and implementing performance measurement processes
