Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our client’s team in Toronto, Ontario. In this a 6 month contract position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial analysis, reporting, and investment accounting for a portfolio of foreign assets. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in financial services and expertise in complex financial analysis.
This role will require 4 days in client’s downtown office.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review comprehensive financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Manage the full accounting cycle, including consolidation reporting and financial statement preparation.
  • Oversee investment accounting processes, including foreign exchange and alternative investment analysis.
  • Conduct detailed financial modeling to support decision-making for equity and global investments.
  • Analyze and report on the performance of private and foreign investments, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline budget processes and improve financial reporting systems.
  • Provide expert insights on complex financial transactions and their impact on overall portfolio performance.
  • Monitor and assess foreign exchange transactions to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Support ongoing analysis of global investment management strategies and their financial implications.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless financial operations.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and investment accounting.
  • Accounting designation (CPA, CFA, or equivalent) is nice to have.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of foreign exchange transactions and global investment management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in complex financial analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in managing alternative and private investment portfolios is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience in the financial services sector is preferred but not mandatory.
