We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead financial management for our IT department during a period of strategic transformation. This role will have the opportunity to build dynamic, scalable processes that strengthen financial clarity and accountability within IT, partnering directly with IT leadership to drive budget discipline and support operational decision-making during major initiatives like SaaS transitions, system sunsets, and cloud migrations. This role requires someone who can roll up their sleeves for detailed analysis while presenting confidently to senior leadership and the advisory board. **PLEASE NOTE that this is a hybrid position and requires working onsite at our Plano, TX office three days each week. Responsibilities are as follows:

Budgeting & Forecasting:
-
- Partner with IT leaders to build, manage, and adjust the annual IT OpEx and CapEx budgets and five-year forecasts, providing mentorship on impacts of reallocation and timing shifts.
- Maintain full-year projections, updating for actuals and project changes.
- Identify key drivers influencing IT spend within a consumer finance environment, providing analysis to support business decisions.
- Reporting & Analysis:

- Develop dashboards and reports to provide clarity into IT spend, trends, and forecasts for leadership and regulators.
- Reconcile monthly IT budget data with financial and accounting systems to generate clear summaries for IT leadership, flagging discrepancies and overages.
- Track temporary labor and IT infrastructure expenses to ensure accurate forecasting and accruals.
- Support leadership with ad hoc analysis, deep dives, and data requests on spending trends, cost streams, and special projects.
- Project & Spend Management:

- Track and lead capital project budgets, committed funds, and actual spending year-to-date, reviewing monthly with IT leadership to maintain alignment with budget goals.
- Monitor expenses related to IT initiatives (SaaS transitions, cloud migrations, infrastructure projects), ensuring contractual commitments are tracked and approvals are acquired for variances.
- Provide monthly accrual lists to Accounting and ensure accurate coding, allocation, and reconciliation of IT invoices.
- Vendor Contract Management & Controls:

- Partner with Compliance to review and approve purchase requests, ensuring alignment with budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate on contract (SOW, MSA) reviews, confirming proposed spend aligns with the current budget and organizational priorities.
- Track submissions and approvals to maintain an accurate, up-to-date forecast reflecting new commitments.
- Ensure IT financial documentation is organized and audit-ready to support internal audits and regulatory exams.
- Executive Communication & Presentation:

- Prepare and deliver clear, engaging presentations for senior leadership and Board meetings, translating complex financial information into actionable insights.
- Continuous Improvement:

- Recommend cost-saving initiatives and improvements in execution to enhance return on IT investments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA/CPA/CFA a plus).
  • 5+ years proven experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or similar roles, preferably within financial services, fintech, or IT project environments.
  • Understanding of IT spend structures (software licensing, cloud services, infrastructure, project costs) and project-based financial tracking.
  • Advanced Excel skills for modeling and analysis; experience with financial systems (Essbase, Power BI) preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint skills and confidence presenting to senior leaders and advisory board members.
  • Ability to build collaborative partnerships and explain financial concepts to non-financial partners.
  • Familiarity with consumer lending, credit services, or banking operations to align IT spend with business drivers.
  • A proactive, meticulous approach with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
