JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst who will be responsible for supporting key financial and accounting tasks as part of the Kettlemans Finance Department. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, you will help measure the financial performance of the company.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or business administration
· 4 years of experience in a financial analysis, accounting, audit or similar role
· CPA designation or in progress is an asset
· Strong understanding of the complete accounting cycle and Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE)
· Analytical skills and attention to detail
· Willingness and flexibility to take on a wide variety of tasks
· Initiative and autonomy
· Advanced level of English (spoken and written)
· Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI an asset)

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Work occasionally requires extended hours and moderate lifting of paper and materials. Work requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Financial Planning, Analysis, and Reporting

  • Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, or quarterly financial reports, board of directors’ presentations, and bank reports illustrating trends in performance and KPIs
  • Coordinate with store managers to understand and provide feedback on performance drivers
  • Participate in the budgeting process and update financial forecasts

· Operations Improvement and Insights

  • Extract insights from sales and costs data analysis to assess opportunities for optimizing offering and operations
  • Monitor industry and economic trends to promote agility in strategy and operations

· Accounting Team Support & Others

  • Perform regular review of balance sheet accounts and monthly reconciliations of key accounts
  • Support the annual financial statement audit process
  • Participate in other ad-hoc projects related to the company’s growth
