Description

Our client is a major national retailer looking for a Senior Financial Analyst on their Margin Accounting team to join them on an 8-month contract assignment. The role lies within their Margin Accounting group. The role is 4 days a week in office located in mid town Toronto and 1 day work from home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing period end adjusting revenue and cost of sales transactions for various BUs (including Dealer sharing, Reverse Flow, Royalty, etc.), ensuring reasonability and completeness.
  • Review reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to areas of responsibility, Review and investigate discrepancy between various internal data systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct variance analysis at month end for margin P&L section across banners.
  • Develop, maintain and update margin related financial models.
  • Assist in development and completion of controls to ensure effective and efficient processing of transactions.
  • Collaborate with various internal teams like tax, audit, dealer relationship, FP&A business/corporate accounting on investigations, external requests, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Continuously look for efficiencies and opportunities to streamline processes.
  • Manage, support, and develop FAs on team.
