One of our banking clients is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst (Month end reporting, banking Exp.)
Length: This is a 12-month contract with a strong possibility of an extension
Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid work requirements: 2 days in office on average)
Hours: Resources need to be flexible working in between 9-5

MUST HAVE REQUIREMENTS:

· 5+ years’ worth of experience Accounting/Finance background
· Prior experience with forecasts, management reporting , journal entries (closing the books) and reconciliation ideally in large corporation
· Excel: Pivot tables, macros etc
· University degree preferably with accounting/finance
· Advanced communication skills
· Working towards a professional accounting, or finance designation – CA, CMA, CGA, CPA, and/or CFA
· Advanced communication skills
· Independent
· Highly organized
· Taking initiative within the role

The Senior Analyst is accountable for:
1. Populating month end reports with financial results and other applicable information needed to perform required analysis.
2. Lead in the analysis and investigation of month end variances (revenue and expenses).
3. Lead in the population of the forecast and plan models.
4. Accumulate and gather required information to address external and internal ad hoc requests.
5. Identify and recommend improvement opportunities for processes, workflows and client services.
6. Support and assist team members with modeling and analysis, as required.
