What You'll do as a Senior Financial Analyst • The Senior Financial Analyst for the Office of Criminal Justice Services (OCJS) applies advanced knowledge of accounting systems & procedures to research & analyze complex financial data, resolve discrepancies, & administer the fiscal aspects of grants while providing guidance & training as a lead worker; • Research & analyze complex information using critical thinking to resolve errors &/or modify data by administering the fiscal aspect of one or more statewide criminal justice grants (i.e., Department of Justice grants, State of Ohio General Revenue Fund grants, etc.); • Monitor grant compliance & provide technical assistance to state & local agencies & Executive Director regarding grant-related issues; • Conduct on-site fiscal monitoring to ensure compliance with applicable federal & state statutes, regulations, grant requirements, including uniform administrative requirements & cost principles for federal & state grants; • Assess internal controls developed & implemented by the sub-grantee to demonstrate compliance with applicable requirements, including organizational operations, policies, procedures, financial reports, & recordkeeping. Option 3 -Or completion of graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field; AND 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting &/or finance to include an advanced level of experience in spreadsheet software. Option 4 -Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Analyst, 66562. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
