Description:

ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is seeking a professional Senior Financial Analyst with at least 3 years background working in Accounting and Finance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and Finance, with CPA Designation completed or in progress
  • At least 3 years of work experience in Accounting and Finance
  • Proficient understanding of IFRS and US GAAP including technical accounting and reporting requirements
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent communication skills- both oral and written
  • Background working with NetSuite (ideal)
  • Background in the healthcare industry or US markets (ideal)
  • Detail oriented, professional and organized

Responsibilities:

  • Organize accounting position memos for internal senior management in reference to IFRS accounting regulations
  • Organize public company filings including financial statements, MD&A, 20-F, and earning releases
  • Communicate with Finance Manager, Director of Finance, and CFO regarding financial reports and progress
  • Submit journal entries for transactions to business combinations, share-based compensation, equity/debt financing accounting
  • Follow US GAAP guidance
  • Review analytics for changes in financial statement information
  • Execute balance sheet account reconciliations such as prepaid, accruals, loans, equity, intangibles etc.
  • Work with external auditors and internal management to complete external audits
  • Support any audit inquiries and offer guidance
  • Coach junior staff on best financial practices and proper knowledge of US GAAP
  • Support ad-hoc operational matters such as finance, operations, and controls
  • Other projects as required (acquisitions, financing, etc.)
