A day in the life of a Senior Financial Analyst, Supply Chain (Distribution) at VF looks a little like this.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Financial Analyst is to support the monthly forecasts, annual budget, and the reporting & analysis for the Distribution Centers in the Americas region. The position contributes to the achievement of financial objectives by providing financial analysis and information to facilitate sound business decisions. This role works closely with DC Operations team and Leadership to monitor the budget and provide analytical support to business partners to help drive the company’s operating performance. In order to succeed, this individual will utilize both relationship building and strong analytical skill set to maintain current and develop new metrics and tracking systems to drive business effectiveness and efficiency across the region’s distribution network.

  • Support the monthly forecast, the monthly reporting and analysis, the annual operating plan, and the strategic plan processes.
  • Serve as business partner with the DC Operations team to analyze results, provide variance explanations, and influences actions to improve results.
  • Support Global and Regional Reporting needs and presentations.
  • Supports special projects and ad hoc analysis and requests. Position plays a critical role in evaluating DC project financials and providing analytics to support recommendations. Projects include both capital and expense.
  • Drive enhancements in financial reporting and analysis as well as requisite system requirements. Position contributes to standardization and continuous improvement effort. Identifies and implements process improvements and activities to improve team’s efficiency and effectiveness in delivering overall financial information and analytic support.
