About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst – Systems to join our team. In this role, you’ll deliver high-impact financial and operational insights through advanced data modeling and business intelligence reporting. You’ll support the Merchandising Operations and Category Management teams by transforming complex data into actionable analytics using Power BI, enabling informed decision-making and driving operational efficiency. As a subject matter expert in financial analysis and BI tools, you will lead the development and enhancement of reporting solutions, collaborate with cross-functional partners including Data Science, and serve as a key resource for training and support. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide financial guidance through monthly reporting, ad hoc analysis, and executive presentations. About Your Day Lead the design and development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support the Merchandising team’s analytical and reporting needs. Perform in-depth analysis of merchandising data to uncover trends, performance drivers, and actionable insights. Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to enable data-driven decision-making. Serve as the Power BI subject matter expert for the Merchandising team, providing training, technical guidance, and ongoing support. Collaborate cross-functionally to create new reporting solutions and enhance existing ones, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Partner with the Data Science team to integrate and leverage MDP data sources for enriched reporting capabilities. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in reporting processes and tools, and present recommendations for leadership. Act as a strategic business partner to the Category Management team, providing financial analysis, market insights, and vendor performance evaluations. Develop and maintain monthly financial and operational reports to support category planning and execution. Deliver ad hoc analytical support to address emerging business needs and opportunities. Design and maintain a standardized reporting and presentation framework to support all Merchandising strategic initiatives. Provide analytical insights to drive operational efficiency and support long-term business goals. Manage ad hoc reporting requests and contribute to cross-functional projects requiring merchandise planning and analytical expertise. About You Post-secondary degree/diploma in Business Administration, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience in data analytics, reporting, and dashboard development. Strong knowledge and experience with Power BI (required). 5+ years’ experience with ERP systems. Advanced Excel skills; intermediate proficiency in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in Merchandise Planning or business operations is an asset. Experience in retail, manufacturing, or consumer packaged goods preferred. Familiarity with Power Query preferred. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to exercise sound professional judgment. Proven ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment through effective communication and relationship management. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. About the Job Hours of Work: 36.25 a week Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTA Compensation The target hiring range for this position is $75,000 - $90,000. This is a pay grade 6 role, with a salary range of $71,777.30- $ 107,379.81. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
