Description:

Our client, a medical device company that designs, manufactures, and orchestrates the sales of an innovative intravascular imaging system to improve cardiac care, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst.
Our client, a medical device company that designs, manufactures, and orchestrates the sales of an innovative intravascular imaging system to improve cardiac care, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst.
Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst is as follows:

Perform financial accounting activities including:

  • Preparation of quarter-end financial statements such as working papers, schedules, and journal entry adjustments
  • Assisting with treasury and cash management including cash flow results, projections, and spending variances
  • Managing the quarter-end review and fiscal year-end audit
  • Contributing to the preparation of Canadian and US company tax returns as well as sales tax remittances
  • Designing and proposing accounting and financial controls as necessary
  • Reviewing and validating financial models
  • Preparing financial reports related to contribution agreements with public funding sources
  • Analyzing and evaluating corporate financial performance as required

Perform cost accounting activities including:

  • Collaborating with Operations and Sales staff in the development and maintaining of current and accurate costing, planning, and forecasting of inventories
  • Gathering and analyzing data on changes in product design, raw materials, and manufacturing methods to determine effects on cost and prices
  • Contributing to the identification and reporting on opportunities for reducing purchasing and production costs as well as “lean” manufacturing initiatives
  • Reviewing and analyzing regular inventory cycle count results
  • Guide and coach accounting colleagues
